On Sunday 5^th June almost 600 guests joined Lord and Lady Halifax and Lord Irwin to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee in Garrowby parkland. The picnickers were treated to an assortment of tunes from The City of Hull Band as well a performance from The Minster Strays Morris Dancers before a breath taking aerobatics display by Tom Cassells and Michael Pickin.

There was a very competitive tug of war tournament which was enjoyed by all.

The celebrations ended when glasses were raised full of Bugthorpe Brew or a Garrowby Jubilee Cocktail to toast Her Majesty the Queen.
