After 38 years at Halifax Estates, 34 of which were at the helm, David Lord retired on 3^rd May, handing over to the new Estates Director, Ed Johnson. Lord Halifax and Lord Irwin held a drinks party at Garrowby Hall on 26^th April to mark David’s retirement which was a great success with people coming from near and far – a testament to David’s standing within the Estate. All on the Estate wish David the very best and hope he enjoys his well-earned rest – good luck Leah! Ed Johnson is looking forward to the challenge ahead – although he has been on the Estate for the last 3 months, there is still a lot of people to meet so he hopes to be able to do this over the coming months.
