Our Estate Office in Bugthorpe lies in the centre of the village. Pass the Post Office on the right and at the end of the village green, the Estate Office can be found on the left, facing Freestone Farmhouse.

By car

From the West – M1 / Leeds / York direction follow the A64 East to the Grimston Bar turn-off. Take the A166 north-east through Stamford Bridge, turning left after 2.8 miles to Bugthorpe.

From the North – if you are driving from Malton, head south on the Welham Road, passing through the villages of Eddlethorpe and Leppington. This will bring you into the village past the primary school.

From the South – if you are driving from Pocklington, head north through the villages of Meltonby and Bishop Wilton, before turning left on to the A166 and then making a right.

From the East – if you are coming from Driffield, follow the A166 west towards Stamford Bridge for 15 miles, before making a right turn into Bugthorpe.

By bus

We are in a rural location between Stamford Bridge and Fridaythorpe. Our nearest bus route is the 226R from Malton with a bus stop at Barthorpe Lodge one and a half miles away.

By train

Our nearest railway station is Malton, 11 miles away, which connects with York and Scarborough. You can either take a taxi or the 226R bus to Barthorpe Lodge.
