Sean came to Halifax Estates as Head Forester in April 1998 and took over from Terry Herron who moved to the National Trust. Sean has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of woodlands, particularly on Garrowby Estate and to ensure that they are as well managed and productive as possible, whilst retaining their importance within the landscape and as wildlife habitats.

Over the last few years Sean has built up the thriving Garrowby Firewood business and Garrowby logs are now in keen demand throughout the area.

The Estate is very grateful to Sean for all his dedication and hard work over the years and we look forward to this continuing for many years to come!
